Questions and answers
Do I need an account?
No. Without signing in, your shelf, ratings, notes and picks are stored only on the device. Sign in with Apple is needed only for matching with a friend and syncing between devices.
What is stored on the server after sign-in?
Your shelf, ratings, diary, notes, reviews, friend list and a notification token. Data is kept in Firebase. We do not request your email from Apple.
Does it work offline?
The catalogue is live and comes from TMDB, so search and picks need a connection. Your saved shelf is available offline.
Where can I watch the films?
Moviely is not a streaming service and does not tell you where to watch. Film data, posters and trailers are provided by TMDB. Moviely is not affiliated with TMDB.
How do I delete my account and data?
Profile, Delete account. Firebase data and the sign-in record are removed, and the Apple ID token is revoked. The local shelf stays on your phone until you delete the app.
